Town Hall Hotel Wedding Photography – Natural, Relaxed & Editorial London Wedding Photographer
Most couples tell me the same thing before their wedding. “We’re not great in front of the camera. We don’t want to feel awkward.”
Documented on Digital & 35mm Film.

Would you believe Katie and Thomas said the same? They didn’t want anything overly staged or forced, just portraits that felt effortless and in-the-moment. Their wedding at Town Hall Hotel, London was the perfect example of how to get exactly that. Thoughtful, stylish and completely relaxed, their day gave us endless opportunities to create editorial-style wedding photographs that felt like them, without ever pulling them away from the celebration.

The best wedding portraits don’t come from standing still and smiling at the camera. They happen when you’re moving. Walking, laughing, adjusting a dress, leaning into each other mid-conversation.
Katie and Thomas got this instinctively. They didn’t stop to overthink how they looked, they just moved through the space together. Whether it was slipping into the Town Hall Hotel’s hallways for a quiet moment or stepping outside for a few classic London city shots, nothing felt forced. They kept moving, and I kept photographing.

Some couples spend months planning the details of their wedding day. Some get surprised with a vintage Mini Cooper minutes after saying I do. Thomas had secretly arranged for the car to be waiting outside the venue, complete with a private reg and their lucky number 23 on the side. Katie’s reaction was everything. Pure disbelief, followed by absolute joy. We captured it all, then made the most of the car itself for a quick set of portraits before they drove off for a moment alone.
If your wedding has a detail that means something to you, use it. The photos will instantly feel more personal.

London at night is a different kind of beautiful. The streets empty a little, the lights glow a little softer and everything feels a bit more cinematic.
After dinner, we took ten minutes outside for some evening portraits in the city. No big production, no pressure, just the two of them against the backdrop of London after dark. There’s something about an evening session that adds another layer to the story. I'll always suggest this on your day, it really is one of the most magical times!
Your wedding isn’t a photoshoot. The best portraits happen when they fit into the day, not when they take over. We kept Katie and Thomas’ sessions short and easy. A few frames in The Library with some flash photography. A couple of shots by the grand staircase as they made their way back to the party.
As their wedding photographer, I was mindful of how they wanted their photographs to feel yet totally open to taking their lead, and they trusted me enough to follow mine. Each session was different, but all of them felt natural. No overthinking, no pressure, just photos that slotted into the day instead of interrupting it. The perfect combination for high-end, editorial wedding photographs.
The key to good wedding portraits isn’t learning how to pose. It’s doing what feels natural. Moving, laughing, soaking it all in, making the most of what’s around you.
If you’re planning a wedding at the Town Hall Hotel, London or just want portraits that actually feel like you, let’s make it happen.
