As a wedding photographer, there are wedding venues that just click with my style and approach and the gorgeous Kin House in Wiltshire is one of them. But Kin House isn’t just a wedding venue, it’s a vibe.

Kin House is a beautifully restored Georgian manor, combining historical charm with modern, design-led interiors. The mix of old-world grandeur and contemporary touches makes this venue perfect for couples seeking something both timeless and fresh. Thoughtfully designed with every detail in mind, it’s the kind of place that ensures your celebration flows effortlessly from one moment to the next.

So when Ann Marie and Andrew celebrated their wedding here, it was the perfect combination of classic English charm and effortless modern elegance. I will always say yes to Kin House, not only because of its stunning and instantly recognisable aesthetic but also for its ability to offer a pretty much endless list of picture-perfect backdrops throughout the day. From the walled gardens to the iconic freestanding bath (yes, we used it), it’s an editorial wedding photographer’s dream.

This wedding was a perfect blend of Ann Marie’s American roots and Andrew’s English heritage, with guests flying in from across the Atlantic to celebrate. A weekend full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and yes - a whole lot of champagne spraying. So here’s to not just this incredible UK wedding venue, but an amazingly fabulous couple and of course, having the best job in the world capturing it all.

Pre-Wedding Preparations

Ann Marie and her bridesmaids kicked off the day in the light-drenched Dressing Room - one of those perfect spots for capturing the natural, playful energy of a wedding morning. There was no shortage of laughs or excitement, full of the kind of moments that make these pre-wedding shots so special. Meanwhile, over in 'The Barbers,' Andrew and his groomsmen were laying low in a space as cool as it sounds, soaking in the calm before the ceremony.

One of the most moving parts of the morning was when Ann Marie shared a first look with her dad. It was one of those moments where time slows down, and you can almost feel the emotion settling in the air. I always encourage couples to prioritise slowing down to make sure that they not only get the most authentically beautiful shots but so that they really do feel what is such a heartfelt moment before diving back into the action.

Simple, real and absolutely full of life - just how I love it.

The Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony took place in the Garden House, and honestly, it was a dream. Bright, bold florals filled the room, with natural light spilling in from every angle, creating an atmosphere that felt warm and intimate. As Ann Marie and Andrew exchanged vows, their closest friends and family gathered around them, the sun perfectly illuminating the moment. It’s these kinds of settings where wedding photography really does its magic - capturing the raw, unfiltered emotion in a space that feels both timeless yet alive with joy.

Aerial Drone Shots and Candid Moments at the Drinks Reception

After the ceremony, we made our way to the terrace and lawns for the drinks reception. Guests relaxed with cocktails in hand, played lawn games and soaked up the gorgeous Wiltshire countryside. This is where I caught some of my favourite candid moments of the day - guests laughing, sharing stories, completely caught up in the celebration. The drone was used  to capture sweeping views of the venue and gardens, offering a unique perspective that showcased the scale and beauty of Kin House. A must-have addition for a wedding venue that is as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. The walled gardens offered a stunning backdrop for family portraits and couple shots, subtly blending the polished beauty of the venue with the gently wild charm of an English country garden.

Stunning Golden Hour Photos and The Perfect Party Wedding Moments at Kin House

As the evening set in, we snuck out just after the wedding breakfast to catch the golden hour around the grounds. This is easily one of my favourite times to shoot - it’s when the light softens and there’s this quiet magic in the air that makes everything feel a little more special.

We captured some stunning portraits of Ann Marie and Andrew, a beautiful blend of posed and candid shots that truly reflected their love and the beauty of the venue. If you’re tying the knot at Kin House, be sure to carve out some time for the golden hour - trust me, it’s absolutely worth it.

Once the speeches wrapped up, the party really kicked off. I led Andrew and his groomsmen to the Fitz Bar and to the patio for some fun shots, while Ann Marie slipped into her, equally as jaw-dropping second wedding dress. We captured a few flash photos in the main room, including an iconic freestanding bath moment, before heading downstairs for more shots in the shell chair - perhaps not its official name, but it’s definitely also a Kin House icon.

And what’s a wedding without a champagne spray? Ann Marie, bridesmaids and groomsmen gathered on the terrace for a champagne toast, and let’s just say, it got a little wild. These are the spontaneous moments I love - completely unplanned but capturing the joy of the day in such a fun, unfiltered way.
